Heidenau K60 Scout- Is it a Good Dual Sport Motorcycle Tire?

Hey, just a quick shout about these tires…. Hardcore adventure riders – this one is not for you! And the rest of you, hear me out.

These, like many more tires, are pretty much “do it all” tires, probably one of those that last the longest – well above the average! These are adventure tires, not off road tires, so will do everything you will ask them to, just barely though, because rubber they are mad of – as hard as hell, haps between know are quite small, and so it will grip on gravel and rocks, but as soon as you will hit wet grass your K60’s will slide all over the place!

Mud, well it depends, if you will ride fast enough for mud to be fling off the tire – you might just get away with it, otherwise it will clog up and you will have a mud doughnut there…

Cold / Wet weather riding – I have heard that these a bit slippery at colder or wet weather (probably because how hard they are), but personally have not experience any of those issues. Used them all year round, including long trip to Alps – no problem (must admit, I’m not a very aggressive rider either, so…)

To sum it up, fairly cheap tires, lasting a decent amount of miles too. Ok for trail riding when dry, but need to be cautious when wet – on trail and tarmac! Not too loud at hight speed on motorways, a bit crumbly on rocky terrains though and as good as slick tires on the sand (ok just joking, ok’ish on a sand)! Perfect Adventure? – Yes!
