Hey, remember when I wrote about the RST riding kit and said that it’s pretty much indestructible? Well.. RST adventure boots are not like that.. like not at all!
If you noticed, in most of my pictures I’m wearing either Forma boots, or Gaerne SG’s, not RST adventure boots, because there is a reason!
Now hear me out, I picked full grain leather boots because with time I have learned that full grain leather is a real thing and if that is the only thing you will take from this post – my job is done! Because RST adventure boots are not…
So I had those RST boots for a whole six months, and they literally fell apart! And not like stitches or buckles, but exactly where it bends the most – between the toes and the ankle! And once the gap opened up in there, those boots were pretty much shot!
And now if you think that I did not take care of them, well I did and those who say that “you can’t polish the turd” – you are wrong!
So there, what this pair of boots taught me, is to be a little bit pickier about the material your gear is made off, and if it is sliced, faux /fake leather, just avoid all together because if something has to pretend it ain’t, it ain’t right in a first place!
