Custom Auxiliary Wiring on Yamaha XT660Z Tenere!

More or less like any other bike, my old xt660z tenere had very similar wiring treatment too!

Down to the same reason like allways – not a big fan of spaghetti like additional wiring under the seat, so once I had enough I had to do something about it.

My solution for that was simple. Making a simple bracket under the seat to hold the fuse and relay box.

Cutting a huge hole in the dash and gluing some plastic bits on it to make room for normal switches.

And obviously connecting all together with normal size wires. For this i have used multi core cable that is used for trailers as it just happened to have the right amount of wires.

Obviously I couldn’t do all that without schematics / wiring diagram of some sort, so I made my own that is normally stashed under the MTA fuse holder cover – just in case.

In short all of it is powered up by rear light wires via relay. Main power cable is connected to the starter relay. And it provides power for heated grips, aux lights, usb chargers, as well as provides power to DynoJet Power Commander V as i have two maps in there.

Have to mention that only PCV, phone charger and Auxiliary lights use switches, the rest powers on and off with ignition!
