Forma Adventure Boots – Owners Review

Hate to say, but once upon a time, I believed that these boots are the best! But since then things have changed… A lot…

Don’t get me wrong, after wearing them for the last… years now!  Commuting and trail riding and i still love them!

Washing Adventure boots in the Adventure style!

All buckles are still in place, stitches haven’t fallen apart (At least where I waxed them!), leather still holding strong (Beauty of full grain leather)! Soles are still intact (A bit crumbled up as used boots on very spiky footpegs – like those one AJP PR7! Ripped a chunk out straight away), and antibacterial inner soles are still fine too!

Can’t blame boots for anything, but lack of protection…

Yup, wearing Forma boots here!

Obviously my mistake was wearing them while riding trails, probably thought that since boots are “adventure boots”, they will protect my feet.. erm…  Nope, at the very best time, obviously, I came off the bike and my foot got squashed between the bike and a rock, and my bones just shattered like matchsticks, and I wasn’t even riding fast… Bikes weight and gravity proved to be stronger than my bones, but that’s another story…

Yup, wearing Forma boots here too!

So here is my advice, if your understanding of “adventure riding” is the same as mine – covering distances riding trails on big machines where the risk is high, best keep these boots at home and get something a bit more hardcore, and in any other case, these boots are the most comfortable boots I have ever had, and I’m still wearing them with a smile!

You see that top clasp? well.. i didnt wax it… and thats the only thing that fell apart on that boot… so…

Waterproof – yes, for as long as you wax them.

Long lasting – yes! For as long as you wax them!

Breathable – kind of, they are made from full grain leather, just wax them!

Nope, no Forma boots here! (Gaerne sg12 are those!)

Well… you get the idea!
