How To Stop Mud Cover From Damagaing Radiator On AJP PR7

Another simple mod for this lovely AJP PR7, and this time to stop puncturing the radiator with its own mud cover!

Yes, I imagine what you are thinking, but some riders on social media reported a few issues on that – after hitting a branch with radiator cover (or being hit by bigger rock) that plastic mud cover did exactly that – bent those fragile radiator passages causing them to crack and leak coolant. And it’s all because AJPs plastic mud cover is actually resting on the radiator!

Well, here is a quick fix for that. Easiest and cheapest way to prevent it from happening is to lift the cover off radiator fins. And to do that I used an aluminium corner profile cut to size so it just lifts the plastic cover off the fins and rests on the stronger part of the radiator!

Nothing complicated here, and the hardest part of it was to pull those rivets tight together!
