AJP PR7 Stainless Steel Wheel Spacers

Riding off road a lot means wheel bearings and seals go bad fairly quickly, and when it comes to spares, especially motorcycle wheel bearings and seals, I like to have them ready and available! Naturally when I was ordering a few bits for my ajp pr7 from the parts supplier, I thought at the same time I would order some wheel bearings and seals, however the price quoted hit me like a brick.

Normally seals cost only a few pounds per seal, but the price I was told was almost 10x that all because AJP sells seals as a kit with wheel spacers! That did not make sense to me at all, till I had to replace wheel bearings.

The design of it all on pr7 is brilliant- spacers do not fall out when removing the wheel (not like on some different motorcycles), meaning that seals get disturbed less, and should last longer, however, original spacers made out of aluminium, and they get damaged/scratched very quickly.

Mine got worn in under 2000 miles, and because the seal and spacer had failed, so as the bearing!

Price quoted for the kit didn’t make sense knowing that it might not even last, so I started looking for aftermarket parts. And luckily, one company makes stainless steel wheel spacers specifically for AJP PR7!

Price wise – also a bit expensive for what they are, but being made out of harder metal than original – should last much much longer! Found them at www.3dmoto.pl.

Update: After a few thousand miles on my new spacers, I can see now that these Stainless Steel spacers were a wise choice! Big Thanks To 3Dmoto for such a great product!
