AJP PR7 Engine Side Covers – EnduroHog

Out of curiosity, I thought I’ll give Enduro Hog engine covers a try. If these magical covers will save my engine covers at least once – I’ll be more than happy!

After ordering EnduroHog Covers from endurohog.com  –  didn’t take long to receive them too!

From the first look they seem to be well made, and out of fairly thick material and came with longer bolts.

Fitting wasn’t very tricky, however both pedals had to come off as well as 3 bolts on each side.

However…

The Ugly side of EnduroHog Engine covers

When time came to replace front sprocket i bumped into this:

To remove sprocket there is a need to remove the clutch slave cylinder (Doh!), well at least loosen it up a bit as otherwise chain and sprocket will not come off.

And yup, you guessed it right, Enduro Hog Engine case cover covers it all. So in order to change the sprocket I had to take the cover off, Clutch Slave cylinder and only then sprocket.

To save some time next time, I decided to chop the chunk out of it, to make bolts accessible at all times.

Oh, before mounting the cover back on – smeared the edge with non setting silicone sealant, as once cover was removed, there was quite a bit of the mess there!
